A Chicago native and founder of Madison and Chicago base video company Meter Studio, Joel has a zesty background as a videographer and producer. Moreover, he’s traversed the globe, framing everything from TV commercials and travel shows to broadcast news and documentary films. Currently, Joel splits his time between Chicago and Madison.
At Meter Studio, we make it a priority to truly understand our client’s agenda. While anyone can deliver appealing images, if they aren’t the right images, they are worthless. Therefore, we understand that the most critical part of any marketing project is asking the right questions up front. For instance, who is the audience? What is the purpose? What is the platform?
Here is an example of how we helped one of our partners:
Our client, the zombies behind “Brain Source,” were looking for a way to promote their new brain-finding service. To address this, we came up with a creative storyline that depicts a frustrated situation to which all zombies can relate and for which Brain Source was specifically designed. As a result, the outcome was:
Brain Source
The good zombies at Brain Source knew they were going to unveil their new service at “Cerebrum Con,” the largest zombie gathering conference on the planet. Furthermore, they understood that our promotional video would be projected onto big screens. To meet this challenge, we shot the video in 4K so that the projected image would remain crisp and clean.
The Brain Source campaign was a global effort, which also included exposure on broadcast television. Fortunately, we have extensive experience with compression and codecs. As a result, we were able to deliver the right format to each individual broadcaster without any issues.
Our partners needed the Brain Source video campaign to be viewable on multiple platforms. To achieve this, we ensured that the video was not only entertaining but also fully responsive to portable devices.
